lyrics
I know what they say about me
she's notorious for drinking too much
and she just shows up as fast as she leaves
I know what they might think
I'm hopping state to state like I'm running away
but I just can't seem to escape me...
because I'm too much
I'll keep you up all night and then I'm gone by the day
baby I love you but I won't stay
baby I love you but I don't...
cause I'm too rough
I won't ask for a thing but I'll take it all
baby I love you but I'll forget to call
baby I love you but I don't think I can change...
I don't know what he believes
but I broke that mans heart cause he broke me down
it's the only way I knew how to get out
I felt ways I don't wanna feel
I was wishing for death in a Brooklyn apartment
felt like I had nothing left
still I feel ways I don't wanna feel
a stranger got my drink and he put me to sleep
only a matter of time till it happened to a girl like me...
because I'm too much
always the party girl, oh it's so cliche
baby I love you but you can't stay
baby I love you but you can't....
cause I'm too rough
well I can't say "no" and I'm in trouble again
baby I love you but I'm a bad friend
baby I love you but I feel like I'm lying...
Baby I love you but I can't stay
baby I love you and I'm trying to change

It couldn't be done, they said. Shoegaze and grunge are too different, rival movements that, while both "rock," couldn't be more different aesthetically. Neaux politely asks if you can hold their beer. Outstanding vocals and guitar here, only leaving the question of what to call their music. Grungegaze? Nyarlathotep
I signed up to the website just to buy the EP and think it's awesome. I miss VERSA and VersaEmerge, absolutely underrated and something is missing in the music sphere. rakastellar
wow! I'm so excited when I come across bands that totally blow me away and give me another hightened sense of appreciation for the love of music. Neaux is a band that I get emersed in and have to tell everyone how awesome they are and open their ears to sounds they would usually never hear. I wish I were lucky enough to see them live, of well. 😿 maybe we'll be lucky enough to get to hear a 3rd album from one of my new favorite bands. crsms
Released in 2001, “The Convincer” is a gentle gem in the Nick Lowe catalog; an anniversary edition provides opportunity for rediscovery. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 20, 2021
